| The State of Florida requires that all Security Officers hold a D LICENSE. A minimum of 40 hours of training as required by the State of Florida Department of Licensing pursuant to Section 493.6123 (1). Even though you need 40 hours, the State allows you to do 24 hours initially, then return within 6 months to obtain the additional 16 hours of training. Shield Training Company offers the initial 24 hours of training every Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Cost is $75.00 and includes materials for the class, photos and fingerprints. The additional 16 hours of training is held Monday and Tuesday the first week and last week of each month from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. It costs $55.00 and includes materials for the class, photos and fingerprints. There are no hidden charges. The 28 hour G course for armed security officers is held on Thur - Fri - Sat of each week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Cost is $165.00 and includes Instruction, State Forms, Fingerprints, Photo, Notary, Ammunition, Targets, and the use of our Firearms. *Note* We Only Use Factory Ammunition no Reloads Are Used During Our Training Sessions The 4 hour state requal for class G is held on Wed - Sat each week from 8am to 12pm cost is $85.00 *Note* We Only Use Factory Ammunition no Reloads Are Used During Our Training Sessions Defensive Tactics Training, Handcuffing, ASP Baton, O.C.
